Garage Intini in Bertrange hosted the depart of the fourth stage of the iconic cycle tour.

Raising funds for the French L’Association Rêves charity, around 35 cyclists are taking part in the Paris-Modena tour that stopped off in the grand duchy on Tuesday. The riders had flown to Luxembourg after three days of tough cycling through Italy, including surmounting the Gavia Pass and the even more impressive Stelvio Pass (the second highest paved mountain pass in the Alps), both of which regularly feature as part of the Giro d’Italia.

The group of international ranking riders, trained athletes and amateur cyclists, includes Garage Intini director Francesco Loperfido. The garage, which is the exclusive Maserati concessionary in the grand duchy, is a co-sponsor of the charity bike ride.

“We are active in supporting sport and especially cycling and are proud to support Paris-Modena which aids Association Rêves to raise awareness and funds for children in need,” said Loperfido.

Indeed, L’Association Rêves has a mission to grant the wishes of seriously ill children, aged 3 to 18. Since its creation in 1994, more than 6,200 dreams have been granted, allowing children to engage in a variety of stimulating projects that give them the strength to overcome the adversity they face.
