On Tuesday 6 June, Arendt announced that it had appointed a new management team, following Philippe Dupont’s decision to step down as co-chairman. Michèle Eisenhuth and Claude Niedner will now jointly chair the firm and its strategic advisory board. Jean-Marc Ueberecken has been re-elected as managing partner.

is stepping down as co-chairman of Arendt & Medernach, the law firm he co-founded. In a press release, he stated that he wishes to devote himself entirely to his clients. Arendt has therefore appointed a new management team for a three-year term commencing 1 April 2023.

The former is a partner in Arendt & Medernach's investment management department and was already a member of the group’s strategic advisory board. “I am delighted that our partners have appointed Michèle Eisenhuth to replace me as co-chair,” said her predecessor Philippe Dupont. “I think we couldn’t have asked for a better representative; Michèle is both an internationally recognised expert and a partner who is particularly appreciated internally.”

Niedner, who is serving his second term as co-chairman, is also a partner in the investment management department. Commenting on these appointments, he said: “In the coming years, we will continue to anticipate the needs of our clients and strengthen the integration of our services to provide them with solutions for their business. [...] I am delighted to begin this new mandate with Michèle Eisenhuth, with whom I have had the pleasure of working for over 25 years.”

The Luxembourg-based legal, advisory and investor services firm has also re-elected as managing partner, a position he has held since 2014. Responsible for implementing Arendt’s strategy and direction, he will be tasked with “continuing to create new services, new products and, above all, new ways of providing our services to the clients of the firm,” a statement said.
