has been named CEO of Amundi Luxembourg and chairman of Fund Channel, a B2B fund distribution platform created in 2005 and owned by Amundi and Caceis, the firm announced in a on 6 September. He has also joined the board of directors of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (Alfi).
Jond started his career in sales business development at the Banque Internationale à Luxembourg (Bil) in the early 1990s. He then spent more than 29 years working for BNP Paribas Securities Services, serving as head of France and Belgium in his most recent role.
After leaving BNP Paribas, Jond was the president of France Post-Marché, an association that aims to represent post-market professions, bringing together banks, investment firms, market infrastructure players, issuers, professional associations and consulting firms.
Jond is replacing , who was previously CEO of Amundi Luxembourg and chairwoman of Fund Channel. She held these positions from 1 January 2020 to 31 August 2023. Duvoux has been appointed head of business support & operations for Amundi Group and will be based in Paris from now on.
These appointments took effect 1 September 2023, said Amundi’s press release.
€200bn in assets under management
Amundi Luxembourg’s 2022 annual report noted that the year was marked by the merger with Lyxor Funds Solutions, which led to a €10.6bn increase in assets under management for Amundi, with the biggest part being exchange-traded fund (ETF) products.
It reported €200bn in assets under management at the end of 2022, a decrease of 6.6% over the year due mainly to negative market effects, said the report. Amundi Luxembourg’s net profit for 2022 was €145m (down from €199m in 2021), total assets stood at €731m (down from €776m in 2021) and it employed 97 people. Its report also stated that Fund Channel “is an important area of development for Amundi.”
As of 30 June 2023, asset manager Amundi, which is a subsidiary of the Crédit Agricole group, manages over €1.95trn of assets globally. It has 5,400 employees in 35 countries.
