The fourth child of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, Princess Alexandra has become engaged to French citizen Nicolas Bagory

It’s been an autumn of good news for the Luxembourg royal family. Following the announcement that comes news that Princess Alexandra has become engaged to Nicolas Bagory.

Mr Bagory, who will be 34 on 11 November, grew up in Brittany, France. After studying political science and classical literature, he now works on social and cultural projects.

Princess Alexandra, now 31, graduated from Trinity College in Dublin and has a Master’s degree in Interfaith Studies from the Irish School of Ecumenics with a specialisation in conflict resolution.

She has worked in journalism and also took up an internship at the Security Council of the United Nations in New York, when Luxembourg was a non-permanent member.

Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa have said they join the Bagory family and the couple in their happiness.
