A brand new room with a very neat design, a seasonal approach in line with contemporary codes and a team in the dining room that is as explosive as ever... What? You didn't go back to Les Roses de Mondorf?

For more than 30 years, the restaurant Les Roses has been a true refuge for gourmets within the unmissable Casino 2000 in Mondorf-les-Bains. And a major refurbishment was expected by many... It is now done, and not just a little! The gastronomic restaurant of the casino has taken advantage of the last few months to give itself a much awaited facelift. In the kitchen and in the dining room, it smells like new and it feels really good!

It has to be said that the architect Élodie Lenoir has worked miracles in the restaurant: smaller tables with good lighting on the outside circle, more spacious seating for up to 8 people in the inside area, all on a splendid custom-made carpet reminiscent of water flowers and Monet's Giverny garden in a very contemporary version. It's a real new establishment that visitors can see. As for the tableware, almost everything has been redesigned, from the superb new plates to the vases and dried flowers, thanks to a great shopping trip to Paris by Élodie and chef François Jagut.

The latter has also been very active in the kitchen, where he took over the reins in September 2020. Originally from Brittany but having worked in the kitchens of Les Roses alongside Alain Pierron since 2005, Chef Jagut - accompanied by Loïck Martinez as second in command - puts the season at the heart of the plate and does not hesitate to venture into some daring combinations, with a maximum of locally sourced products. The whole thing works very well, with a "high comfort food" approach that is much needed at the moment!

Finally, in the dining room, we are very happy to find the real "avengers" of the service: the smiling hostess Valérie Boyenval, who arrived 5 years ago and who does not miss a thing, and the sommelier/stand-upper Thierry Corona, a pillar of the house for 33 years, who tells the story of the wines as well as he chooses them... Both are now supported by Lionel Caromel, formerly of Bourglinster, and Sébastien Lepointe, who joined the team in 2018.
