The fund administrator provider Gen II, which , has announced the appointment of Richard Browne as head of client services in Luxembourg. In a press release on 8 May 2024, the firm noted that Browne will be responsible for developing Gen II’s expanded full service offering, including fund administration as well as manco and depositary capabilities.
“It’s an incredibly exciting time for Gen II as we continue to expand our European service offering, and our expert team in Luxembourg is a key part of that,” commented Michael Johnson, chief commercial officer Europe at Gen II in the communiqué. “Richard will be pivotal in overseeing and ensuring the provision of seamless, first-class experience for our clients across Europe and globally.”
Before joining Gen II, Browne served as the head of private equity and real estate fund administration at Credit Suisse Fund Services in Luxembourg, holding the position from September 2019 to February 2024. Prior to that, he worked at Citco Fund Services (Luxembourg) for 14 and a half years, where he held the roles of director of operations and conducting officer, as well as talent acquisitions operations manager.

Established in 2009, the New York-headquartered Gen II Fund Services offers services in the areas of buyouts, infrastructure, energy, credit, real estate, co-investment, hybrid funds, funds of funds, feeder funds, venture capital and managed accounts. It focuses on serving private capital asset managers and investors and has more than $1trn of private fund capital under administration.
