Known throughout the funds industry as Jeff, Jean-François Flamant has over two decades’ experience in financial services.

Jean-François “Jeff” Flamant has been appointed to the board in Luxembourg of fund administrator Saltgate SA. Flamant, who oversees Saltgate’s depositary servicing for fund managers, joined the firm last year from TMF Group, where he was head of depositary services. He also spent 20 years as an alternative funds specialist at ABN Amro and BGL BNP Paribas.

Financial regulator, the CSSF, has authorised Jeff’s appointment to Saltgate SA’s board. He also acts as an authorised manager of Saltgate SA.

Flamant was delighted with the appointment. “In my time in the financial world, I’ve been aware of Saltgate’s reputation for offering a personalised, flexible client experience --something that my time here has confirmed,” he said in a company statement. “It’s an attitude that fits in with my approach of focusing on the long-term and adapting your approach to make sure your clients’ assets are always in safe hands. I am happy to see that Saltgate SA is increasing its market share and commitment in Luxembourg.”

Saltgate’s Chief Corporate Officer, Hannah Culshaw, acknowledged Flamant as a recognised force in the funds industry and said his knowledge and personality are a great fit for the Saltgate team.

“As well as his financial experience, he’s known for exceptional  quality and for making sure clients get a great service, with a personal touch,” Culshaw said. “In the time that Jeff’s been at Saltgate, he’s shown an active commitment to driving our culture and practices forward so that we’re best placed to support our clients through best-practice service delivery.”
