With a shortage in superconductor chips slowing the production of new cars last year, used cars have gained in value and interest from buyers. Last year, 65,787 second-hand vehicles were registered, Fedamo announced, against 61,637 in 2020. Over the first quarter of 2022, an additional 15,628 were sold in the grand duchy.
The federation in its press release also promises an in-depth control for cars prior to sales. Several dealerships will participate in the festival, which has been organised with the help of AutoMotoNordstad in Ettelbrück. Among participants are Autopolis in Bertrange and Garage Losch.
