Students who have contracted covid-19 and have to remain in isolation will have seven extra days to write their exams, education minister Claude Meisch (DP) stated on 14 June.

Although the government has , and cut the isolation phase from ten to seven days, the chances of catching the virus are on the rise again. Since last week, covid numbers are on the rise again (+46%).

Answering to the of déi Gréng deputy Josée Lorsché, stated that students will have longer to take the exams. He also added that, to be able to do so pupils will need to have submitted all mandatory assignments found on the programme. All students were also given the chance to complete their tasks after the lockdown and restrictions, so that Meisch confirms that “I am not aware of any students being excluded from the exam for not having completed all class assignments.”
