Grand Duke Henri formally accepted credentials from five recently appointed ambassadors to Luxembourg at the Grand-Ducal Palace on Wednesday 12 October.

The freshly named Spanish ambassador, José María Rodríguez Coso, was among the new intake of senior diplomats. He was immediately called into action by hosting a reception, attended by fellow diplomats, Luxembourg dignitaries and members of the Spanish community, to celebrate his country’s national day at the Cercle Municipal on Wednesday evening.

Also presenting her credentials was the new ambassador of Cape Verde, Edna Maria Monteiro Marta Monteiro.

Three ambassadors based in Brussels, where they fulfil other diplomatic roles in addition to representing their country in the grand duchy, included Pakistan’s Dr. Asad Majeed Khan, Slovakia’s Jurai Machac and Azerbaijan’s Vagif Sadiqov.
