The LTS Online program features weekly online classes teaching participants “to create 3D artworks, from modelling and texturing to lighting and rendering,” as the LTS promises in its communiqué. LTS, an extracurricular initiative, aims to support future digital leaders, as it explains, by allowing youths aged 12-19 to explore and apply digital technologies in a creative and business project.
Supported among others by the ministry’s Script, the national research fund FNR and the Luxembourg-City Incubator, the program will also touch upon new technologies such as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in relation to digital arts. Young artists such as, for instance, Jaiden Stipp, interviewed by , or , last year made a name for themselves thanks to their knowledge of NFT art and technology.
The training will be free of charge for the students, who will also learn how to work on their own projects online while receiving individual support by LTS coaches. Anyone between 14 and 18 years old may apply to join the program, if they send their form by 20 February, own a computer or laptop and have a sufficient level of English.
