The Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry holds its Private Assets Conference 22-23 November 2022.

In advance of the event, Delano spoke with Nasir Zubairi, CEO of the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology. He speaks on the “Digital platforms for private markets investment - disruption or sustainable innovation?” panel, at 4:10pm.

Aaron Grunwald: What do you want the audience to get most from the “Digital platforms for private markets investment - disruption or sustainable innovation?” session?

: That change is inevitable, that dwelling on the past and present, you are certain to miss the future. There is more risk in staying the same than embracing technology to enhance the business model of the industry and of the businesses therein, with greater value for the investor.

From your point of view, which technologies have the most potential to change the private market fund space?

Technologies are just enablers, it is the solutions that are created with them that make the difference. Blockchain and AI are driving new solutions and efficiencies for all actors and investors.

How will the Lhoft help support the private market fund sector in 2023?

We will work to educate, support, inspire and provide access to solutions and opportunities.

Aside from your own talk at the Alfi event, which session are you most looking forward to hearing, and why?

“The Future of Alternatives in 2027” [editor’s note: Wednesday 23 November at 2:50pm] and the last session, “Looking Ahead”, with Claude Marx and Camille Thommes [Wednesday at 4:05pm]. Also, “LP onboarding: what to expect and how to accommodate” [Tuesday 22 November at 11:30am], to hear about the challenges the sector is facing in facilitating growth in the sector efficiently.
