Terence Blanchard and Live E Collective by Henry Adebonojo Philharmonie Luxembourg

What does jazz mean to you?

To saxophone legend Wayne Shorter, it is a voice coming from within, calling: “I dare you, let’s jump into the unknown!”

His spiritual son Terence Blanchard is just as bold. This unclassifiable virtuoso, who combines jazz, R&B and soul like no other, is also a keen film music composer and recently made history by becoming the first African American to have a work performed at New York's prestigious Metropolitan Opera.

On 22.02. he will cross the Atlantic for a vibrant tribute to Wayne Shorter in Luxembourg. Leading his ECollective ensemble and the Turtle Island String Quartet, Terence Blanchard returns to the stage of the Grand Auditorium to say to you, in his own words and his own notes: "I dare you...".
