On the occasion of the publication of the new Paperjam Architecture + Real Estate on 18 November, paperjam.lu asked Céline Coubray, editor-in-chief of this annual special issue, three questions.

Paperjam dedicates an annual special issue to architecture and real estate. Can you introduce us to this new edition?

Céline Coubray: Architecture and real estate are subjects that Paperjam deals with on a daily basis. But once a year, a special issue of over 300 pages is produced. This is an opportunity to take stock of the latest deliveries and forthcoming projects, and of current events in the field of architecture and real estate in the grand duchy as well as beyond our borders. The projects are presented under various headings relating to residential architecture, office buildings, buildings constructed for local authorities and urban planning projects.

More than 80 projects are included. How is the selection made?

It's a choice made by the editors. A little before the summer, I launch a call for entries. This allows me to discover certain projects, and it completes the important work of monitoring and prospecting that I do throughout the year. I have been writing about architecture in Luxembourg for more than 13 years now, so my eye has had time to sharpen. This is how we try to present the best of what is currently being done in contemporary architecture in the grand duchy.

Architecture and real estate are subjects that are widely covered by Paperjam. Can you tell us in what way?

Indeed, in addition to the annual special issue and the articles that are regularly published on paperjam.lu in a dedicated section, we also develop a thematic newsletter that is sent to more than 14,000 subscribers every 15 days.

We organise events throughout the year, with the help of the Paperjam + Delano Club, which take the form of Club Talks, conferences with sit-down dinners, 10x6 evenings or even discovery aperitifs on a remarkable building site. Paperjam also produces special issues devoted to real estate and Mipim, and most of the sector's players are represented in the Paperjam + Delano Business Guide.

Paperjam has developed a whole ecosystem around these themes, and a very loyal community has been created over the years, to our great satisfaction.
