Paperjam and Delano are offering ideas for family outings in the greater region this summer. Free or fee-paying, indoors or outdoors, there is something for everyone! Today, we are heading to the Eifelpark amusement park in neighbouring Germany.

Less well known than the Europapark in Baden-Württemberg, the Eifelpark near Bitburg in Rhineland-Palatinate is aimed more generally at families of all ages, with rides for children aged one or older and a park with animals.

Covering an area of 100 hectares, or almost 100 football pitches, the park offers more than 50 attractions and over 200 wild animals. Deer, roe deer, brown bears, wolves, lynxes, meerkats, wallaby kangaroos and many other species can be seen up close in the enclosures.

A tower 80 metres high

There is something for all ages. Thrill seekers will not be disappointed, with the new Graviator Spinning Drop Tower, which, after a 360° panoramic tour, plunges its occupants 80 metres through the air. The new Krähennest family freefall tower, at 14 metres high, is at least as spectacular for the little fans of the Eifelpark. Those with a strong stomach can ride the Jules Verne Tower, an 80-metre high chain carousel.

The Eifel-Coaster, a summer toboggan, takes you down the valley at speeds of up to 40km/h. The Käpt'n Jacks Wilde Maus roller coaster, a chain carousel, family roller coaster, water rides, the pony express, the Gondorfer pirate battle or the bumper cars will keep young and old alike busy all day. There is also a play area with shovels, sand and gravel.

At weekends, on public holidays and during the holidays, the Eifelpark also offers entertainment. More information is available on the
