The sale of the Helios building in the Cloche d’Or was announced at the beginning of 2020. The buyer remained unknown but has now been revealed as Finnish property company Technopolis.

The Helios building is one of the most well-known properties in Luxembourg due to its structure--consisting of 5 buildings situated around a tower--but also its location, next to the Cloche d’Or, on the edge of the A6 motorway and opposite the new Luxembourg stadium. Its floor space amounts to at least 68,000m².

, it was revealed that the complex had found a new buyer, the transaction having been finalised a few weeks earlier. Finnish company Technopolis has now been revealed as the buyer.

"The reason for this discretion is linked to the current conditions. On the one hand, the health crisis that has arrived. Secondly, the major work we have been doing on the buildings. We didn't want to create a buzz while the work was in progress," said Alexandro Dozzo, recruited by Technopolis to manage the property.

And the changes were significant: a new reception, new restaurant, renovated cafeteria, refurbished offices, among others. "Technopolis is renowned for the quality of the offices it offers to its clients. Not least because of the Nordic fittings and design," said Dozzo.

Technopolis manages large complexes and has a substantial portfolio in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Lithuania. It manages 16 campuses housing 1,400 companies and 45,000 employees. Helios is the group's first acquisition outside of Scandinavia and the Baltic states.
