With one month to go before the regional round of the Startup World Cup, EY and venture capital firm Pegasus Tech Ventures have unveiled the shortlist of ten startups that will have to convince the jury to take them to San Francisco in the autumn.
- : transforming housing in a sustainable way by integrating materials research, design and technology. Specialising in the 3D printing of self-drying clay bricks, it reduces waste and improves energy efficiency.
- : a Saas sustainability platform guiding organisations in uncovering and tracking their greenhouse gas emissions.
- : the Emma platform helps businesses streamline and simplify the way they interact with a variety of cloud platforms and infrastructures.
- MDsim: a software as medical device (SAMD), designed to help spinal surgeons and medical device manufacturers.
- : provides direct access for retail investors to buy sustainable investments securely, quickly and affordably.

The ten startups will pitch to a panel of judges including Antoine Welter (co-founder and CEO of Circu Li-ion, which won the previous edition of the Startup World Cup and made it into the top 10 global finalists); Alain Rodermann (founding partner of Expon Capital), (CEO of The Dots) and Amélie Madinier (CEO of Le Village by CA).
