Astara has appointed Thomas Odier head of commercial activities in Belgium and Luxembourg. Odier will take up his post on 1 April.

On Monday 24 March, the Astara Group announced the appointment of Thomas Odier as commercial director for its activities in Belgium and Luxembourg. He will take up his post on 1 April 2025.

With more than twenty years of international experience in the automotive industry, Odier joins Astara from Stellantis Middle East, where he held the position of managing director for European brands. There he managed a diversified portfolio including Abarth, Alfa Romeo, Citroën, Fiat, Leapmotor, Peugeot and Opel. “His leadership has been instrumental in market expansion, brand awareness and sales growth in key markets including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait and Lebanon,” notes the release.

Odier had previously already worked within the Astara Group, holding the positions of head of operations in Italy and Switzerland for the Fiat, Jeep, Alfa Romeo and Lancia brands.

“I am delighted to be joining Astara Western Europe and contributing to its continued success,” he said. “I am excited to rejoin the Astara family and work with our team members and dealers to drive innovation, customer satisfaction and together shape the future of mobility.”

In his new role, Odier will report directly to the managing director of Astara Western Europe, Olivier Sermeus. He will be responsible for supervising the country managers of the group’s various brands for Belgium and Luxembourg, as well as the teams in charge of fleet, sales support and dealer network development. “His leadership should enable further growth and innovation in the Belgian-Luxembourg market,” the company added.
