An investigation by authorities led to the conclusion that “the victim’s death was part of a robbery,” a statement  said. A warrant from the investigating judge as well as searches with the support of the police’s special unit led to the arrest.

While the suspects have been taken in, under Luxembourg law they remain innocent until proven guilty.

The victim was an Italian national who had moved to Luxembourg several years ago and was working at the restaurant where she had been found on 17 April.
