Aurélie Faber is one of several Luxembourg City “spotters” in the Spotted by Locals international network, which provides insider tips by locals via its blog.

Here are three of her favourite locations.

Kyosk

Whether it’s for a barbecue, DJ session or a pétanque game, Faber says this is one of her favourite spots to enjoy the warmer weather. “You think you’re in a working district with big buildings around, but then you have this place with a lot of greenery, a lot of trees,” she says. “It’s a really familiar atmosphere.”

Culturando

This Italian restaurant, formerly in Limpertsberg, is now in Pfaffenthal. “They don’t have a fixed menu, but every day they have a menu of more than 10 dishes.” She praises the staff’s food and wine recommendations. “They also have a big terrace; it’s a nice view when the sun goes down.”

Dräi Eechelen Park

Situated behind Mudam and the Dräi Eechelen museum is a historical gem, where visitors can walk through the old fortifications or simply enjoy the green space. “You can have a picnic, play football, and from there you have really one of the nicest views on the city and also on the valley,” Faber adds. “It’s a nice place to be with friends and family.”
