The OGBL, LCGB and CGFP are still not happy about the government's forced introduction of CovidCheck in companies with the unions urging their members to be very careful.

The possibility of introducing the CovidCheck scheme to allow access to the workplace will become a reality from Monday. If the law is still a problem for the trade unions, so is the way in which it will be implemented.

The OGBL, LCGB and CGFP once again criticised the government's forced introduction, lack of consultation, and the unpreparedness of the measure, which creates a great deal of legal uncertainty due to the few possible interpretations . At the same time, the unions are pleased that the CovidCheck does not seem to appeal to companies, which either do not want it or will apply it only partially (during meetings, in certain places, etc.).

A new meeting between trade unions and employers is taking place this Thursday morning to "try to find viable solutions with all parties to guarantee the interests and livelihoods of workers and civil servants".

In the meantime, the unions have issued recommendations for those facing CovidCheck:

- Contact your staff representative or trade union for full information on the situation, your rights and obligations;

- Do not sign any documents that are sent to your home;

- Contact the staff delegation if you are called for an interview;

- Never accept alternative options such as leave or short-time working.

If the government does not back down, the unions confirm that legal and administrative action will be taken. The content of these actions will be clarified in the first two weeks of November.
