Major roadworks will get underway in Howald on 4 April causing traffic and public transport disruptions around the Rangwee, which will be closed until the end of the year.

As the tram extends towards the Cloche d’Or, the construction site will disrupt traffic in Howald, with the Rangwee closed between the Rue du 9 May 1944 and the Rangwee tunnel. The tunnel itself, located beneath the trail tracks and linking to Cloche d’Or, will remain accessible.

This means that a link between Howald and Bonnevoie will be closed and traffic diverted via Route de Thionville and the Albert Bousser tunnel, which is located beneath the intersection of Route de Thionville and the Pénétrante Sud, near the central train station.

A new road linking the Jean-Pierre Buchler bridge--connecting Bonnevoie to the Gare-- and Rue de Neufchâteau will open. This is expected around September 2022.

Access will be closed to pedestrians between 4 and 17 April, with a sidewalk installed along the tennis courts on Rue des Scillas and Rue Auguste Schiller.

For around eight months, the bus lines 3, 5, 20, 23, 28 and 29 will be diverted. More details are available on the . The overland buses 166, 223, 226, 303 and 982 will also be diverted with details on the changed routes listed on
