The tram and P&R bus services will run late into the night on National Day eve  Nader Ghavami

Late night services will operate on the eve of National Day, while some disruption is also envisaged for both 22 and 23 June.

The first fully-fledged eve of national day celebrations since 2019 are expected to draw huge crowds to the capital city on 22 June. The fireworks display, which will be taking place from the traditional Pont Adolphe site, is the main attraction of the night.

The City of Luxembourg recommends visitors travelling into the capital by car to use one of the P&R facilities, from which it will be operating buses into the city centre leaving every 5 to 10 minutes between 6 and 10.30pm. Return buses will run after the end of the fireworks display and up until around 3am.

The fireworks also mean that the tram will not serve the stretch of track between Hamilius and the central station between 7pm and 20 past midnight--a substitution no.39 bus service will be provided. However, the tram will be operating until late into the night, with the last departure from Luxexpo to the station at 3 am and the final tram leaving the station up to Kirchberg at 3.28 am

On national day, the tram will run according to the public holiday schedule, but because of  the military parade along avenue de la Liberté, the service between Hamilius and the central station will again be interrupted between 11am and 1.15 pm. Later on 23 June, the tram will not serve the stretch between place de Metz and the station between 10.20pm and 5 past midnight while the royal platform on the avenue de la Liberté is dismantled. Again, bus substitution services (routes 4, 13, 18) will operate.
