To mark International Women’s Day, Delano asked Luxembourg financial sector professionals about the women who have inspired them. Corinne Lamesch was inspired by one of her best friends.

“When one of my best friends was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 32, I was devasted,” , chair of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry and Luxembourg country head at Fidelity International, told Delano. “However, her journey through this hardship is inspirational.”

“She managed to turn her experience into something constructive and positive. Today she is a cancer survivor and coach. She helps cancer patients to manage their stress, optimise their nutrition, sleep and physical activity, and to achieve a better physical and emotional wellbeing,” according to Lamesch.

“Her determination and passion for her work make her not only an emphatic cancer coach but also a successful female entrepreneur. What’s more is she’s a wife and mother of 2 lovely boys!”

Lamesch said: “For me the ingredients to a happy life and successful career are a positive mindset even in challenging times; being passionate about what you do; having a good work-life balance; and nurturing your family, friends, colleagues and your relationships in general!”
