The Cloche d’Or Shopping Center continues to refine its fashion offering: after Maison 123 arrived in February, Tartine et Chocolat and Mango are next.

Clothing for babies, toddlers and children up to 14 years old, as well as cuddly toys, textiles, perfumes and decorative accessories: Tartine et Chocolat is a world of softness. Created in 1977, the brand has become associated with high-end children’s fashion. Legend has it that its founder, serial entrepreneur Catherine Painvin, came up with the idea after watching JFK’s funeral on TV in 1963. In front of her television set, she was impressed by the outfits worn that day by the Kennedy children.

“This is the brand’s first shop in Luxembourg,” says Raphaël Bouchet, director of the Cloche d’Or Shopping Center, who told Delano’s sister publication Paperjam that Tartine et Chocolat will open at the end of May with a sales area of 60 square metres.

From New York to Dubai--via Paris of course--Tartine et Chocolat has around 45 points of sale around the world, under its own name or via major chains. In fact, the brand is already present in Luxembourg in the Galeries Lafayette. In 2022, it generated around €15.83m in revenue.

Mango number four

Also coming to the Cloche d’Or Shopping Center is Mango, a clothing store for children as well as adults. Bouchet confirms that work has already begun on the store, which will have 650 square meters and is due to open in early June.

Mango, which like its major competitor Zara hails from Spain, is a well-known international brand that is celebrating its 40th birthday this year. There are already three locations in Luxembourg, two in the capital and one in the City Concorde. Internationally, Mango is present in some 115 countries and has 2,500 points of sale. Revenues in 2022 hit €2.6bn.

Six million visitors

These two developments follow the arrival of women’s fashion chain Maison 123, part of the Etam group, at the end of February.

The mall opened in 2019 and registered some 6m visitors in 2023. “The Cloche d’Or Shopping Center is continuing to grow and establish itself in the region,” says Bouchet.
