After the opening of the country's first KFC last October in Belval, two new restaurants will open by the end of the year in Capellen and Avenue de la Gare in Luxembourg City.

One, then two, then three. KFC will have three restaurants in Luxembourg by the end of 2025, the company announced on Wednesday 19 March. KFC opened its first restaurant in the country (around 70 employees). The country's first drive-through will open in Capellen at the beginning of October, while the third restaurant will open at the end of November 2025 in Luxembourg City on Avenue de la Gare.

"These openings mark an important step forward in the expansion strategy of the retail arm of Firce Capital, its Luxembourg franchise partner, which aims to have ten restaurants in the Grand Duchy by 2028," explains KFC's press release.

The Capellen restaurant will be located in the town's business park, with a surface area of 480m2. It will offer the chain's first drive-through in the country. Luxembourg City's first KFC, meanwhile, will be located at 43 avenue de la Gare, with a ground floor area of 200m2.

Becoming the leader in "fast good"

As part of this project, franchise partner KFC "benefited from CBRE's expertise in searching for an ideal location. CBRE also supported KFC in the restructuring of the premises, ensuring that the space perfectly met the brand's specific needs, while optimising access and the visibility of the shop window," states the press release.

The American giant specialising in fried chicken products claims "the objective of becoming the leader in 'fast good' in France and Luxembourg, by working on several areas of improvement and strengthening our local roots", adds the managing director of KFC France and Luxembourg, Isabelle Herman. Today, "almost 50% of its chicken supply is of French origin, rising to 21% by 2021, and 100% of its burgers, wraps and wings come from French farms. KFC works with more than 600 French farmers. In addition, since 2024, our breadcrumbs have been made by hand using French flour", the chain claims.
