After maintaining its place , the University of Luxembourg also features once again in the list.
The ranking is based on “performance indicators that measure an institution’s performance across four areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.”
In the latest table, the University of Luxembourg has improved its score in research (39.2) and industry income (47.3) and consolidates its good score of 99.5 for international outlook. In the teaching category, however, the university’s score fell from 35.7 to 33, and for citations, its score dropped from 73.2 to 65.7.
From the top 250 to the top 300
Overall, it drops a few places from the top 201-250 in 2021 to the top 251-300. "The number of universities included in the world ranking has risen by 135 to 1,662," the university said. It remains in the "top 18% of universities evaluated by the Times Higher Education".
The best universities are Oxford in England, followed by the California Institute of Technology and Harvard University, which are tied in second place. Stanford is next, with Cambridge University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology sharing fifth place.
