Volkswagen Losch Financial Services (VWLFS) has entered its sixth year in business with a symbolic milestone: 6,000 vehicles in its fleet.

Created in 2019 as a joint venture between Losch Luxembourg and Volkswagen Financial Services, six years later Volkswagen Losch Financial Services has established itself as a major player in car leasing in the grand duchy, with a fleet of more than 6,000 vehicles.

With double-digit annual growth since its inception, VWLFS recorded a 15% increase in 2024, the company stated in a press release. Its success is based on a positioning that sets it apart from other leasing companies in the market. "People often tend to forget about us and many people don't know about us,” stated Frank Dillschneider, managing director front office at VWLFS. “In a way, that's quite positive, because it means that everyone involved has been doing a good job for almost 6 years now.”

VWLFS relies on the Losch Group's network of dealerships to market its products. "Our customers are first and foremost the customers of the dealerships. We offer a genuine one-stop-shopping approach, where the sales advisor remains the key contact," explained Dillschneider.

Focus on private individuals and SMEs

While VWLFS has a strong presence in the private customer market with its PrivateLease product, it is also stepping up its development among businesses, particularly SMEs. "This segment represents a great opportunity for us. Our customers are looking for a local service and a personalised, B2C approach," said Dillschneider. With annual growth of at least 10% in this market, VWLFS aims to double its order book by 2025, thanks in particular to the special offers marketed during the Autofestival.

The expansion of leasing to private customers, after a slowdown in registrations in 2022, is also a growth driver. "This segment is on the up again and still has a lot of potential," said Dillschneider.

After six years of strong growth, VWLFS now intends to consolidate its internal structure. From six employees at its launch, the company now has 23: "Our employees are the driving force behind our success. In 2025, we are going to prioritise the people aspect, stabilise our workforce and develop our corporate culture", Dillschneider and Stephanie Tieste, managing director back office, stated in the press announcement.
