Female designers and greenery, as well as good teams, seem to be the key to a happy and successful workplace according to speakers at Delano Live on Tuesday 22 March.

Labelled as a “meet the British community” event, the latest Delano Live event on Tuesday 22 March featured British Chamber of Commerce chair Daniel Eischen as the guest of honour. Eischen made introductory remarks about the chamber’s plans for its 30th anniversary year and looked forward to more in-person networking events and informative seminar sessions tackling the topics of the day.

The main theme of Tuesday’s Delano Live, held at Knokke Out and sponsored by ING, was the perfect workplace. Host Jim Kent, from the Paperjam + Delano Club, spoke with Philipp Moessner from law company GSK Stockmann and Gosia Kramer from shared workspace company The Office. Both speakers seemed to agree that a warm and welcoming workspace was essential to efficiency and contentment among employees.

Kramer was adamant that having more female architects and design office spaces would already provide much more congenial working environments.

Both speakers showcased elements that they believed made their offices the perfect workspace, with plants and breakout areas for informal meetings, art and sustainable furniture among the highlights.
