09.10. A Symphony for the Amazon: Salgado and Villa-Lobos  

«It feels like the music was made for the photographs, or that the photographs were made for the music.» - Sebastião Salgado. Kick off your festival experience with a captivating blend of sound and imagery. featuring deeply moving music from the great Brazilian composer Heitor Villa-Lobos and the King of minimalism Philip Glass promises to be a feast for the senses. As enchanting melodies unfold, the stunning photography of Sebastião Salgado, a truly legendary photographer, will transport you deep into the heart of the Amazon rainforest. Known for his commitment to sustainability, Salgado captures both the beauty and fragility of nature in his work, creating a visual journey which matches perfectly with the music.  

11.10. Cinematic Magic and Club Beats  

Nothing better than a love triangle, conflicts and mystery at the movies… For film enthusiasts, the Philharmonie is screening , a classic Portuguese film from the 1920s, will be accompanied by the celebrated Arditti Quartet. This haunting film, rediscovered in the 1990s, explores themes of suspense and mystery, and the live score will add a layer of emotional depth that enhances the cinematic experience.  Are drama and tension not for you?
