Countries across the world on 8 March will mark International Women’s Day. Delano’s Cordula Schnuer and Ara City Radio’s Tom Clarke on Monday looked at the demands of women’s rights campaigners in Luxembourg.

The International Women’s Day (JIF) platform every year publishes a list of demands to policymakers, including wage justice, a reduction of working hours, three months’ birth leave for men, affordable housing and more action to combat violence against women.

Organisers on 8 March will host a protest in the streets of Luxembourg City, starting at 5pm at Hamilius.

To kick off the week, Cordula and Tom also talked about some upcoming events, including the , which continues this week. Also on the agenda is the double bill at Neimënster and the reimagining the songs of Miriam Makeba at the Philharmonie.

Finally, in keeping with the women’s day theme, Cordula’s pick of the week is the Man Enough podcast, which explores modern masculinity, role models and topics from toxic influencers to cancel culture.
