Engine reprogramming involves changing certain parameters of the engine management system contained within a vehicle’s electronic control unit (ECU). So far, nothing new. Yes, but no. Established in Luxembourg since 2022, WOT stands out by offering exceptional performance to vehicles thanks to a product fully developed in-house, all while adding a legal dimension; an aspect often overlooked in this sector. Hybrid, electric, gasoline, or diesel: WOT solutions are available on a wide range of brands and engines, and yes, it is legal.
Substitution of the manufacturer's warranty
Driven by a common passion and the desire to push automotive performance improvement to its peak, the two founders share one goal: a job well done. "In order to offer a unique experience and unmatched peace of mind, we have developed a complete engine warranty program, allowing any customer to benefit from a homologated reprogramming solution without fear of losing the vehicle's engine warranty" explains in detail Jan Buyse – Founder of WOT. Depending on the age and mileage of the vehicle, WOT offers an optional warranty suited to the needs, as well as a 5-star customer service. "A replacement vehicle can be made available whenever needed, and can even be delivered to the customer's home or workplace" continues Jan.
The homologation, far from being a minor detail
The homologation is a process by which manufacturers obtain the necessary approval to legally market their vehicles in the automotive market. "Driving a non-compliant vehicle presents risks and can lead to severe financial penalties" points out François Robillard – Founder of WOT. A very unknown detail. We are very far from what some may call “tuning” or a Sunday DIY project, which is why these terms are banned from the vocabulary by our two founders, for whom excellence and rigor are the watchwords.
Thanks to an unprecedented cooperation with the SNCA (Société Nationale de Circulation Automobile), the WOT team ensures the legality of the process by managing the registration of the reprogrammed car themselves. "We provide the new registration certificate corresponding to the power of the reprogrammed vehicle to the customer" asserts François.
All products marketed by WOT are in compliance with emission standards in force in the European Union. They are checked by a renowned control body, namely TÜV Rheinland Luxembourg S.à r.l., trough a rigorous testing process on prototype vehicles.
Contrary to preconceived ideas, engine reprogramming is not limited to combustion engines. For example, WOT's catalog offers exceptional solutions for the entire range of Porsche Taycan engines, and the team does not intend to stop there. It aims to extend its catalog to more than 500 models by 2025.
Today, the entire WOT product range is recognized by the authorities in Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The reservation book is open for 155 types of vehicles, while other enthusiasts can already sign up on a waiting list to be notified as soon as their vehicle can be taken care of by WOT.
