“The Coronavirus Chronicles” is an evening of theatre featuring 14 short plays, sketches and monologues. It is being put on by the ever-reliable BGT theatre.
Coordinated by Elizabeth ‘Betsy’ Adams (photo: LaLa La Photo), an English teacher at the ISL, the work includes texts by Ester Cela, Ferelith Kingston, Cassandra Köhler, Gracie Savage, Luca Schmit, Josie Shillito and Concepcion Zubizerreta
The works explore the pathos, tragedy and humour of families being locked up together, trying to get along during the pandemic and coping with not seeing friends and family. Details such as video calls and trying to get certain foods or even toilet paper during the panic buying of the first weeks of lockdown are also included.
“The Coronavirus Chronicles” is on at the Kinoler theatre in Kahler from 25-27 February 2021 at 7:30pm and at 2:30pm on 27 February. All performances are currently fully booked out, but the show will be streamed on the BGT YouTube channel from 7.30pm on 27 February.
