The Fondation EME marks its 10th anniversary with a concert and a family day this week.
The mission of the Fondation EME (Écouter pour Mieux s’Entendre) is to bring joy via music to people who might usually be excluded from cultural life. Its tenth anniversary celebrations this weekend feature a benefit concert and a family open day at the Philharmonie.
The concert sees the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg conducted by Eliahu Inbal performing a programme featuring pianist Kirill Gerstein (photo Marco Borggreve). He will play George Gershwin’s Concerto in F, and the OPL will also perform Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World”.
The following day the organization hosts a family day at the Phil.
