Dancers and professional choreographers can enter a video contest by filming a new dance creation made under conditions of confinement.
The “Dance from Home” contest, supported by the Œuvre Nationale Grande-Duchesse Charlotte and Unit Control ASBL, the TROIS C-L – Centre de Création Chorégraphique Luxembourgeois will be broadcast via the new KulturKanal fir Lëtzebuerg channel.
The dance videos can be no longer than 10 minutes duration filmed indoors under the strict conditions of confinement--either alone, or with persons sharing the home--and following the recommendations prescribed by the health services before 11 May 2020.
The videos will be entered for a public prize worth €2,000 and a prize awarded by an international jury worth €2,500.
Public viewers can vote starting 4 July, when all the videos will be online, until midnight on 14 July midnight. An awards ceremony will be broadcast on Thursday 16 July at 7pm.
KUK is a new independent platform born during confinement whose one objective is the promotion of artists through the creation and dissemination of creative content from different disciplines: theatre, dance, music, photography, art…It broadcasts live sessions and recorded performances as well as news reports.
