Yehan Jehan brings his distinct brand of 80's pop funk rock to the DGW.
De Gudde Wëllen’s guest artists this Friday, Yehan Jehan has been called “a cartoon maelstrom of creativity”. The Paris-based London artist, originally from Sarajevo, makes music that The Guardian has described as “never less than poppy, breezy, funk-inflected and light”. The sort of stuff you can dance to and that makes you think.
Jehan writes, produces and plays everything and also creates his own art work and directs his music videos (which, like this one for ‘Treat Us Bad’, have been rightly called “slightly sinister”) with a close-knit team. An all-round talent well worth checking out in the flesh.
