Bargain hunters are in for a treat on Monday when Luxembourg City hosts its annual Braderie.
The end-of-season street market sales begins at 8 am--and believe us there are plenty of shoppers who get to the city centre that early to grab the best bargains. The streets in the centre and the Gare district are packed with stands from around 400 stores (photo Mike Zenari).
There is always a festive atmosphere during the braderie, and this year’s 90th anniversary event promises to be packed with “super cool surprises”. Road users should note that there will be some road closures and changes to bus routes on Monday to make way for the street market. Check out the City of Luxembourg website’s traffic info page for the latest details.
While the Braderie is not a public holiday, banks and some Ville de Luxembourg services will also be closed. Those who will be at work on Monday can head into the city on Sunday when several shops will be holding pre-Braderie sales.
