Since 1982, scientists at the National Museum of Natural History have met every year at the "Colloquium on Natural Heritage, Biodiversity and Evolution" during which they have presented the most recent results of their scientific research projects via a short lecture.
The topics presented at the colloquium come from all fields of natural sciences, both Earth and Universe sciences and Life sciences. The colloquium is intended to bring together and promote an exchange between specialists from all fields. Although it is primarily aimed at scientific collaborators appointed by the Minister of Culture, the colloquium is open to all interested persons.
The 37th edition, initially scheduled for March 2020, had to be cancelled due to the Covid-19 measures. The 2021 edition will take place completely online.
