Luxembourg's Chamber Choir will hold a concert in the main hall of the Philharmonie.
The programme includes Anton Bruckner’s “Te Deum”; Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture”, originally written as a commemoration of Russia’s defence against Napoleon’s invasion; and Dvorak’s “New World” symphony. Some 200 musicians will perform the pieces.
The choir, conducted by Antonio Grosu, will be supported by the symphonic orchestra of the greater region, along with the academy of young voices. Soloists for the pieces include soprano Elizabeth Wiles, alto Manou Walesch, tenor Angelos Samartzis and bass singer Hiroshi Matsui.
