Meet up with female aerospace professionals at the Women in Aerospace (WIA) Luxembourg networking evening alongside aerospace experts across Europe.
At just 26 years old and after just 18 months of training, Valentina Tereshkova became the first woman in space following a three-day mission aboard her Vostok 6 spacecraft. More than five decades later after this historic event, on June 16 1963, many more women have gone on to achieve extraordinary feats in the space industry. Luxembourg is a signatory to the Artemis Accords under which the Artemis program will fly the first woman and next man to the moon by 2024.
WIA organisers aim to ensure women's visibility and impact in the aerospace sector and its programmes offer the possibility to interact and connect with other professionals. It also provides mentoring possibilities, grants, training and many more. The event will touch on several discussion topics and provide participants networking opportunities with outstanding industry experts across Europe.
