Acclaimed Irish film director Jim Sheridan is in Luxembourg for an “evening with” talk on 3 March.
The British & Irish Film Festival Luxembourg and the Ireland Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce have teamed up for the event at the Hotel Parc Belair.
The 6-time Oscar nominee’s filmography includes award-winning fare such as “My Left Foot” and “In the Name of the Father” (both of which saw Sheridan nominated for a best director Oscar) as well as “The Field” and more recent fare like “The Secret Scripture”. Sheridan has also enjoyed a successful career as a producer of powerful films like Paul Greengrass’s “Bloody Sunday” and documentary “Shelter Me: Apollo House” in a presentation titled “My life in film” and will then be in conversation with British & Irish Film Festival director Geoff Thompson, when he will also talk about some of his upcoming projects including “Lockerbie”.
A networking cocktail will follow the talk.
