This year’s Photomeetings celebrates the work of Hiroyuki Masuyama, Robert Pufleb and Nadine Schlieper.
An internationally recognised event, Photomeetings attracts photographers in all sorts of disciplines to the grand duchy. The main event features an exhibition, lectures and workshops. It opens with a talk and Q&A session with Japanese artist Hiroyuki Masuyama, who has used the work of William Turner and Casper David Friedrich as his inspiration.
Later, Masuyama will be on hand for the opening of his “Tsukimi / Moon Show: A photographic journey through space and time” exhibition at Galerie Clairefontaine Espace 1. “Tsukimi” is an ancient Japanese tradition that translates as “moon viewing” and dates back to the 8th century.
On Saturday, Robert Pufleb, whose work explores his urban environment, bizarre object constellations, unexpected views and absurd situations, delivers a lecture and hosts a workshop where participants will gain an overview of his working method and his “professional journey”.
