Registration for the 16th edition of Relais pour la Vie opened this week.
Each year, the charity event raises money for Fondation Cancer, bringing together team members that run or walk for 24 hours around the clock. Businesses, NGOs, friends and families join in to support the cause.
This year’s edition is virtual, giving registered teams a unique opportunity over the weekend of 27-28 March to walk, run or cycle in support of cancer patients and research.
Registration is €15 per person, with an unlimited number of members allowed on each team, and captains can decide whether they’ll pay in full or have team members pay for their own registration.
Teams are then charged with creating their fundraising page, and one team bringing in the most donations will be awarded a trophy for their efforts.
There are six team categories, meaning teams can register under businesses, schools, supporters, countries, associations or as health professionals.
The event was cancelled in 2020 due to the pandemic but in normal years has attracted some 13,000 participants.
