Hailed as one of the top three Irish step dance shows in the world, Rhythm of the Dance brings its 20th anniversary tour to Echternach this Saturday.
Rhythm of the manages to compact 2,000 years, and more, of dance, music, songs and culture from pre-Celtic times to modern day sounds into a stunning 2-hour concert show. It’s been described as “full of flailing feet and fiddles, futuristic dances, eye-catching lighting and costumes and sensational sound effects.”
Apart from having world and Irish champion dancers, the show features some of the finest traditional musicians, including players of Uilleann pipes, Irish Bodhran, fiddles, flutes, accordions, banjo and whistles.
The dancers themselves perform with breathtaking energy and sometimes have literally just seconds to make 25 costume changes during the show.
