Even though this year’s annual Luxembourg Peace Prize has been postponed to 28 May 2021, in keeping with the measures being taken around the world to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, the organisers have put together an interesting programme for a webinar this week.
This webinar calls upon some of Luxembourg Peace Prize's Laureates, past and present, to provide an analysis of the challenges facing the world. Speakers will address a variety of issues from a broad spectrum of disciplines. Our photo shows the monument to the Schengen agreement in Schengen.
For instance, Steve Youngblood, director of the Center for Global Peace Journalism, Park University, Missouri, will speak about “Journalism and COVID”. Libby Liu, CEO Open Technology Fund, Washington DC, has as her subject “Open and Free Internet, Our Lifeline”. And Helmy Abouleish, CEO SEKEM, Egypt, will speaking on “The Economy of Love”.
