One of Luxembourg’s most loved sons, the late Thierry van Werveke, is the subject of a wide-ranging exhibition in Dudelange.
Actor, singer and all-round great guy Thierry van Werveke died at the age of 50 in 2009. He was one of the first stars of Luxembourg cinema, starting out in the 1980s making short films with director Andy Bausch, who would later cast Thierry in “Troublemaker”--the cult film that inspired a whole generation of new filmmakers in Luxembourg. He went on to star in dozens of Luxembourg and international films as well as make appearances in German TB series. Thierry also sang in the bands Nazz Nazz and Tabula Rasa.
The exhibition is neither a hagiography nor a deconstruction of Thierry but reflects numerous facets of the life of the artist, its organisers say.
