A third season of TV dance series “Move !” presented by Sylvia Camarda on Arte premiers this week.
The first episode of the third season, shot in Japan, will be broadcast on August 16 and 17. In Japan, Camarda studied movement that veered between ritual and anarchy, dreams and nightmares. She is introduced by Japanese dancer Nobuyoshi Asai to the “dance of darkness”: butō. This leads to a trip to Paris, where she meets star choreographer Damien Jalet. Watch an extract here.
This is the tenth episode of the series, and the first to be directed Camarda’s husband Yann Tonnar. The couple have just had a baby.
A second episode on dance in time of confinement, directed by Nicole Kraack, will be broadcast in September.
The German version will be screened on Arte on Sunday 16 August at 11.20pm, the French version at 10 past midnight on Monday 17 August. Both versions will be available online for 3 months.
