English-language theatre returns to the Capucins in the shape of incisive drama “Dealing with Clair”. Delano has tickets to give away.
Luxembourg director Anne Simon (photo Nader Ghavami for Paperjam) takes on an early work by British playwright Martin Crimp. “Dealing with Clair” is set in the yuppie culture of the 1980s and ultimately tackles “the psychological violence of a white-collar world where money talks, the moral ambivalence of the middle classes and (...) men’s abuse and belittlement of women”. A strong cast featuring several Simon alumni almost guarantees this will be as impressive as the director’s last outings at the Capucins, January’s “Stupid Fucking Bird”, 2017’s “Love and Understanding” and 2016’s “All New People”. Assisted by Tim Dockal, Simon has also again teamed up with set and costume designer Clio Van Aerde, who did such a stellar job on “Stupid Fucking Bird”.
