Watch the extraordinary story of a Nepalese girl who is a victim of trafficking in the sex industry in India at this one-off screening of “Sold” by Jeffrey D Brown.
This feature film, adapted from the critically acclaimed novel by Patricia McCormick and with English subtitles, is based on true stories about child trafficking.
The screening is organised by Time For Equality, a non-profit association based in Luxembourg which aims to make a difference both within and across borders through advocacy and awareness-raising.
The screening is followed by an interactive panel discussion featuring Irene Wintermayr, ILO policy officer, Fabienne Rossler, secretary-general of the Commission consultative sur les Droits de l’Homme (CCDH) and Thomas Kauffmann, executive director of ECPAT Luxembourg asbl.
Opening remarks will be given by director Jeffrey D Brown live from London while the event will be introduced and moderated by Rosa Brignone and Karen Wauters of Time For Equality.
