The organic plant and seed exchange is the perfect opportunity for nature lovers to discover alternatives to pesticide seeds and plants.
With a plant and seed swap, a sale of seedlings and plants, flowers and vegetables, a producers' market organized by Co-labor, workshops and entertainment for young and old, as well as snacks and drinks for sale; there will be something for everyone at the open-air market on 5 May.
Over 40 stands will be selling organic, fair-trade and upcycled goods and services such as seedlings, handmade soap, craft beers, hand knitted baby sweaters, upcycled clothes, outdoor wooden furniture, and alternative finance. Co-labor will also present its grocery store, florist, nursery, agricultural machinery shops.
Gourmands can savor organic and vegetarian food at a restaurant and children can participate in games. During the event, strolling musicians will contribute to the festive atmosphere.
Organizers from CELL and from the Bee Together foundation will also host a stand to promote pesticide-free initiatives and encourage people to protect bees by using pesticide-free plants in gardens and on balconies. The foundation has also uploaded brochures (PDF) and a useful link, for those unable to attend the event.
A shuttle bus will be provided from Leudelange station and Bertrange-Strassen station. Limited parking on site will also be available.
